This Raptor R model is based on the latest (14th Gen.) F-150 series. Compared to the standard model, almost everything in the Raptor R is new. The Raptor R’s V8 engine is borrowed with minor tweaks from the top of the Mustang lineup, the ultra-powerful Shelby GT500. Due to a slightly different tuning, the Raptor R has 60 horsepower less than the GT500, but gains 20 Nm more torque in the low and mid-range revs. All in all, the Raptor R boasts over 700 horsepower and 868 Nm of torque.
Compared to its closest competitor, the Dodge RAM TRX, which has two more horsepower in total, the power-to-weight ratio favors the Ford, which is about 400 kilograms lighter. Additionally, the liter-specific output of the 5.2-liter Predator engine is higher than that of the RAM’s 6.2-liter HEMI.
And if that wasn’t enough, this has the Whipple Supercharger Kit which bumps the power nearly 1000 horses…
