Making an exotic car like the Ferrari 296 GTS even more exciting has been NOVITEC’s globally recognized specialty for decades. With the new NOVITEC N-LARGO, the German car refiner is now presenting a limited wide version for the open-top sports car. The carbon-fiber body conversion is complemented by NOVITEC NF11 NL high-tech wheels. These rims are produced by US manufacturer Vossen specifically for this racing car. The choice of wheels with a diameter of 21 inches at the front and 22 inches on the rear axle further emphasizes the wedge-shaped look of the mid-engine sports car. A NOVITEC upgrade for the V6 biturbo combustion engine increases the system output to a maximum of 638 kW / 868 hp. The new NOVITEC N-LARGO wide version was designed by German designer Vittorio Strosek. He not only created an excitingly styled designer suit that makes the two-seater an impressive 208 centimeters wide at the rear axle, which is twelve centimeters wider than the base car. The NOVITEC body conversion received its aerodynamic finish in the wind tunnel and thus also offers outstanding aerodynamic efficiency. In order to achieve an optimal combination of lightweight construction and strength, all components of this conversion are made of carbon. The N-LARGO front apron not only gives the sports car an even more aggressive front view: In combination with the exposed carbon front lip, the lift on the front axle is further reduced, which particularly benefits straight-line travel at high speeds. The new front also ensures perfect connections to the N-LARGO fenders, which are three centimeters wider on each side than the series. The NOVITEC trunk lid with integrated air ducts, which converts the airflow into downforce on the front axle, also makes an equally important contribution to further increased driving stability. In order to achieve a thoroughbred racing look, the optionally available exposed carbon version was chosen for the Spider shown here. The front N-LARGO fenders, each with three gill-shaped ventilation slots on the top, conduct the heat upwards from the brakes and also create space for the NOVITEC N-LARGO NF11 9.5Jx21 wheels, which are fitted with high-performance tires in the format 255/30 ZR 21. The N-LARGO side skirts create a perfect transition to the wider fenders (+12 cm), which not only emphasize the design but also optimize the cooling of the brakes. Specially manufactured NOVITEC NF11 NL wheels (22 inches, 335/25 ZR 22) ensure maximum grip. A visible carbon diffuser & ducktail rear spoiler improve the aerodynamics; a rear wing is available as an alternative. The sports suspension (-35 mm) increases dynamics, while an optional front lift (+40 mm) overcomes obstacles. The V6 biturbo benefits from turbo inlets, 100-cell catalysts & high-performance exhaust (stainless steel/Inconel), which increases the system output to 868 hp. The exhaust flap control enables a variable sound, and a 999 fine gold coating enhances the exclusive look.
